Choosing a till app for a physical shop that also sells online

Five questions to answer before choosing a till, if you also sell the same items on Shopee, TikTok Shop, or Lazada.
The problem is not at the counter
Almost every till app can record sales, print receipts, and work out change. The trouble for a shop that also sells online appears elsewhere: stock. A T-shirt sold in the physical shop at 10:00 still shows as available on the marketplace until someone updates the number. If an online order for the same item arrives in that window, the shop has to cancel it, and the marketplace counts the cancellation as the seller’s fault.
So the first question when choosing a till is not "what features does it have" but "where is the stock kept". If the till keeps its own stock and the online store keeps its own stock, you have two numbers to match up every day. As long as you match them by hand, a mismatch is only a matter of time.
Five questions before you choose
First: does a sale at the till reduce the stock the online store uses straight away, or does it only send a report at the end of the day? Second: if you have more than one physical shop, does each shop have its own stock, or do all shops draw from one number? Third: do physical shop sales go into the same profit and loss report as online sales, or do you have to combine them yourself in a spreadsheet?
Fourth: where does the customer’s money go? Some till apps hold QR payments and pay them out a few days later, minus a fee. Fifth: what happens when the internet goes down? An honest answer to the fifth question matters, because a till that says it works offline but does not explain how stock is matched up afterwards opens the door to items being sold twice.
How Lamxo answers them
Lamxo is designed as a till that uses the same stock as Izaaja. Each physical shop (outlet) is one warehouse in Izaaja, so an item sold at the till reduces that warehouse’s stock, and the stock sent to the marketplace goes down too. Till sales go into the same dashboard, profit and loss report, and cash book, with "Online" and "Physical shop" filters so you can still see them separately.
The customer’s money does not pass through Lamxo. QR payments use your own shop’s static QR, and card payments through your bank’s EDC machine are recorded by the till. Lamxo only records that the transaction was paid and by what method.
What you need to prepare
Before moving to any till, tidy up your item data first: one item, one code, and the barcode printed on the packaging recorded in the product data. Count the physical stock in each shop once, so the starting numbers in the system are right. Even the most advanced till only passes a wrong starting number on to every place.
The limits
Lamxo must be connected to the internet during a transaction. Lamxo does not change your listing titles, photos, or prices on the marketplace — only stock is connected.
Try Lamxo free for 30 transactions per month with your Izaaja account.
